In his service to the Empire, Appo had an easy relationship with his superior Darth Vader. After the Republic transformed into the Empire, Appo was concerned that his role would be downgraded to law enforcement and was grateful to be assigned actual missions. During the Clone Wars, Appo demonstrated this on Umbara, where he obeyed orders given to him by his commanding officer, Krell.
Appo was constantly ready to relay or obey his superior's commands, and sometimes even took the initiative to seek out some piece of intelligence before his superior asked for it.
